Fashion designers & artists need to be both artistic and creative, while working with a range of materials, combining colour, tone and shade in an original & workable fashion. Keeping the faith & inner strength, whilst filling your head with ideas, is the most important skill. It's a tough competitive fashion world.
This is why we created Innovative Fashions. We wanted a place that supported emerging fashion designers & artists, whilst also taking away some of the pressures, like marketing & business skills required when creating your own label or name.
Here, at innovative fashions, we believe that fashion comes in many manners & modes. The emerging fashion designers & artists expresses their creative talents through the use of all kinds of tools; digital photography, painting, silversmith, seamstress, jewelry making, and sketching to mention a few.
Creative souls are valued here at Innovative Fashions. Being passionate about fashion in all its shapes and forms, gives us the desire to want to help others and ensure the whole world can be touched by their creations. |

Damselfly
|
Before creating the Damselfly label at the age of 18, Christianna pursued her skills in silver smithing through studies in Australia and India. The label designs draw on these traditional skills as well as Christianna’s background in Fine Arts.
Christianna invests months each year in travelling overseas and sourcing materials which make damselfly pieces unique and cherished. “Each piece has a story” she says. “People appreciate that difference when they find truly distinctive pieces. “
Damselfly jewellery is created using a broad range of materials, including semi-precious stones; Swarovski crystal; glass beads; sterling silver beads and a range of antique findings.
Each year, Christianna conceives a distinctive theme for a new collection to add to Damselfly’s existing ranges.
Inspired by more than seasonal trends, Christianna extends her personal sense of style and sophistication to piece together collections Damselfly devotees appreciate all year round.

Jess Viscarde is a Perth based company specialising in jewellery and accessories set up by Industrial/Product designer and owner, Jessica Viscarde. Jess has a keen interest and artistic flair for expressing her skills and creativity in the art of designing and having lived and travelled the world, Jess draws on these cultural experiences for inspiration.
Combinations of colour and materials awaken Jessica's enthusiasm to originate these eclectic and individual pieces; no two pieces are exactly the same. Only the best materials are sourced and used such as the beautiful Austrian Swarovski crystals, pearls and rondelles, Czechoslovakian glass beads, dazzling Indian foil beads, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and exceptional antique brass metal stampings. This evolving design label encapsulates and combines artistically designed pieces which signify Jessica's devotion and passion for fashion, art and design.

Following on from the success she has found in the women's wear market, jewellery designer Christianna Heideman is set to capture the hearts of the nation's men with the debut of her men's wear range 'Elias' by Damselfly.
Heideman has approached the range with an irreverent sense of humour and an innate understanding of what men want to wear. Working with the highest quality materials such as semi precious stones, sterling silver chain and vintage charms, Elias is a benchmark for high quality modern accessories and perfectly complements the evolving style of male fashion.
The first collection from the range includes Heideman's modern take on the rosary neckpiece, chunky sterling silver neckpieces, money clips and rings embossed the the 'Elias' crest as well as cheeky charm neckpieces featuring custom made pendants engraved with the Ten Commandments.
Seen on the catwalk for both Autonomy and Saba during L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Week, and featured with Vicious Threads for the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, this stylish range encompasses the unique and detailed workmanship Heideman is renowned for and is sure to be on the wish list of all fashion forward men.

Moloko is a new and innovative young Australian jewellery label. With art, movies, nature and fashion of by-gone eras as her muses, the Moloko designer creates inspirational and unique pieces of jewellery designed to make the wearer feel like one of a kind.
Each piece is lovingly created with the finest quality materials, including semi-precious stones (often very rare varieties), Swarovski crystals, natural freshwater pearls and coral, textiles such as leather and suede and sterling silver and vermeil findings to form a distinctive and unique range of semi-fine earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

Laszlo Designs founders are Laszlo & Anna, a husband & wife duo.
We make belts from used bicycle tyres. The idea come to Laszlo while he was a bicycle messenger in Budapest four years ago - quite annoying to have to chuck a brand new expensive tyre because a piece of glass.
We continued to make belts here in Oz, once leaving Budapest. As we are using recycled material, we are reducing landfill in the beautiful country and at the same time putting a very unique product out into the Australian fashion industry.
You will never come across the same belt twice, each one is unique and one-offs, as there are thousands of treads. They will also last you a life time, rubber is a very tough material.

3Fish Design was founded by Michelle Giaccotto and has been operating for 5 years. Michelle has been selling jewellery to many fashion houses in Victoria and interstate. All of her pieces are so individual which makes them so unique. Some of her pieces are one of a kind.
Michelle has been collecting beads all of her life, coming across some amazing beads. Michelle loves the crafted necklaces and bracelets and the crochet lariat's which will be beautiful for summer as they come in some great colours. You will feel beautiful in knowing that you are wearing a unique crafted jewellery piece.

Tracey Talko is a Melbourne-based designer who established Resinate in 2004. Due to her love of interesting jewellery - the type that's talking point - Tracey sought to create a range of distinctive and unique necklaces using one of her favourite mediums: resin.
Resinate necklaces are made using resin and velvet ribbon; the ribbon providing an interesting variant to chains or leather. A wide selection of designs shapes and colours are available, making Resinate necklaces a great gift for others (or yourself!).

"Meditation" is a series of 3 images.
Luts aka Adam Luttick is a Melbourne based photographer. Luts Images are focused on the simplicity of shape, form and textures of our everyday surroundings. Framed on the verge of a flattened plain they explore geometric forms encompassed within urban exteriors and interiors.
Subtle placements of light, shadow, movement and messages within the images evoke a sense of contemplation, purpose and understanding in the seemingly simple situations.
At times the viewer is asked to enter the image with an open perspective and to meditate on the subtle themes of the simplistic forms.
The prints are available for purchase mounted or framed.

Having a passion for originality in design, lead Shiori Pike to the start of Shiori. Finding a gap in the market for sexy yet feminine styles of swimwear & lingerie in Australia, Shiori Pike created her first line in 2003.
Completely self taught, Shiori uses high quality lycra and hand painted features for her swimwear range. In creating her lingerie range, Shiori uses an array of exotic laces imported from Hong Kong, Italy, UK & France. She presented her first line of swimwear & lingerie at local Melbourne markets, and is now stocked in a number of boutique stores around Melbourne.
This is the first time her sexy line can be bought nationally & online.

While travelling the globe as an events organiser, Sanda Aye could never find the right travel backpack. That's why Aye Designs was launched - to create a unique range of travel bags and backpacks.
Aye Designs creates bags which are custom made and beautifully designed. First up, their ergonomic, functional designs mean the bags have a wide range of practical uses (beach, gym, computer use or baby care). Then there's the original photographic art which wraps around the bag to form a nifty pocket and the super strong 420 denier nylon/PVC fabric ensures the bags are durable and easy care. Creating limited editions, only 30 prints per style of each photograph are released.
Importantly, each Aye Designs bag is manufactured in Australia by makers on award wages basis.
